Pastor Matt serves as our Pastor. Matt was born in Gadsden, and his childhood was split between Etowah and Calhoun counties. He graduated from Jacksonville Christian Academy. He attended the University of Alabama and graduated with a degree in Civil Engineering, and completed a master’s degree in Theological Studies from Liberty University. Matt first served as the student minister at JMBC for 8 years followed by several years as our associate pastor. While not serving at the church, Matt works as a traffic engineer.
Pastor Matt and his wife Julie have been married for 12 years and have 4 children. He and the family enjoy spending time outdoors whether camping, hunting whatever is in season at the time, or fishing. Matt also enjoys playing guitar, helping their children develop their own musical skills, and wood working.
